Alpine Skating Club

About

Alpine Skating Club is a nonprofit figure skating club founded in August 1969 that serves skaters across the greater Denver metro area. Its home ice is the Apex Center in Arvada, and members also train at rinks including Big Bear, Boulder Valley Ice, Foothills, The Edge, South Suburban, Family Sports, and the Promenade. The club hosts U.S. Figure Skating test sessions several times a year, the Spring Funtastics competition, an annual skating clinic, and club exhibitions such as a Halloween show at Apex. Members can join the Alpine Sparks synchronized skating program or the Alpine Snowflakes high school team, which competes in the Colorado High School Skating Competitions and the U.S. Figure Skating Cyber Challenge. The club also funds competitors, offers scholarships, recognizes a Skater of the Month, and supports the training and travel of judges and other officials.
