Stephen C. West Ice Arena

About

Stephen C. West Ice Arena is the Town of Breckenridge's year-round indoor ice rink, run by Breckenridge Recreation at the south end of town off Highway 9. A second full-size covered outdoor rink operates from September through March and becomes a turf area in summer. Public skate is open to all ages, with complimentary helmets and free skate helpers for beginners, and Disco Skate nights add music under a disco ball. Freestyle sessions are reserved for competitive figure skaters working on jumps, spins, footwork, and programs, while stick and puck and drop-in hockey serve players. The arena offers group and private skating and hockey lessons, with a lesson request form for private figure skating instruction. A pro shop sells hockey gear and handles skate sharpening and basic repairs, and the meeting room and ice can be rented for parties and events.
