About

Telluride Figure Skating Club is the figure skating program of the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club, open to skaters ages 5 and up. Instruction follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum, and every skater, along with a parent, must hold a Learn to Skate USA membership. The season runs in two sessions, from mid-October to mid-December and from early January to about the first week of March, with all practices at the Hanley Ice Rink. Each practice includes a 10-minute warm-up, 40 minutes of instruction, and 10 minutes of free skating, and families can sign up for one, two, or three days a week. Optional performances include the Holiday Prelude in Mountain Village and an end-of-season show at Hanley. Skating director Alysha Daniel, a former senior level competitor, has coached in Telluride since 2011.
