DU Club Figure Skating

About

DU Club Figure Skating is a student-run club sport at the University of Denver, supported by the university's Student Club Sport Program. The team is open to all DU undergraduate and graduate students regardless of skating ability, with members ranging from beginners to senior level competitors, and skaters can choose a competitive or recreational track. Club ice runs five mornings a week during the academic quarter at Joy Burns Arena in the Ritchie Center, and team dues cover ice time, a team coach, apparel, activities, an annual spring ice show, and a year end banquet. Competitive members take part in Pacific Coast intercollegiate competitions, and the club hosts its own DU Open and reports a past trip to intercollegiate nationals in Lake Placid. Officers elected each year handle the budget, fundraising, practices, and events.
