International Ice Academy of Colorado

About

International Ice Academy of Colorado is the figure skating program at Monument Ice Rinks in Monument, Colorado, and describes itself as a competitive figure skating academy for skaters of all ages and abilities. Beginners start with 30-minute Learn to Skate group classes that include a public skating session afterward, and a Parent & Me class follows the same curriculum. Skaters can take private lessons with academy coaches, train on freestyle sessions, and join a Sunday stroking class for Free Skate 1 or Aspire 1 and above. Adults have a Coffee Club class, and young hockey players can take a Mites Performance Edge class. Seasonal options have included a Spring Break camp, summer programs, off-ice conditioning and ballet classes, and a Holiday Spectacular show. The academy reports 13 state champions in four years, and sessions are booked through the rink's online system.
