Skating Club of Vail

About

The Skating Club of Vail is a U.S. Figure Skating member club operating since 1977, with Dobson Arena in Vail as its home and programming at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink. It offers competitive and recreational skating for all ages and describes itself as the largest skating club in the Eagle Valley. Club classes include SCV Elevate, which helps skaters move from Basic 4 through Aspire toward Pre-Preliminary, SCV Excel for higher level skaters moving into harder jumps and spins, and a Spins, Steps, and Style class. Freestyle ice is sold by the session or in packages, with lower rates for members. The club has hosted the Vail Invitational for more than 40 years and puts on a winter ice show. Theatre on Ice is paused for fall 2026 and returns for the 2027 winter session, and Vail classes resume November 9.
