About
Summit Skating Club is a U.S. Figure Skating member club in Summit County, based at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena in Breckenridge. It welcomes skaters who want to compete, take tests, or simply skate socially, and its membership year runs July 1 to June 30. With support from the Summit Foundation and BGV Gives, the club offers scholarships that can cover membership fees and include some free private lessons and rink passes. Club members skate a special club number in the winter and spring ice shows, and the 2026 winter ice show is set for December 12 at the arena. The club also hosts a yearly Halloween skate on the indoor rink with a costume contest, and its website lists known competition dates, area test sessions, and lessons offered by the Breckenridge Skating School. Coach Chantal Wener serves as the club's member coach.
